The Aristotle User Support Team builds ready-to-use cloud images to help researchers get started using the cloud faster and more efficiently, enhancing their research productivity and results. We have experience building a variety of scientific containers, some of which employ MPI. We also have experience developing applications that manage and use containers. Containerization and related technologies employed include Docker, Singularity, and Nix. The team consists of professionals holding advanced degrees in science or engineering with computational science, data analytics, and workflow experience in multiple domains.
The use case researchers and their collaborators worked closely with their local user support team, routing all questions through a central Cornell CAC help desk system to quickly detect, resolve, and document problems. Use case project development, migration, and scaling experiences across institutions was maintained to improve user documentation and identify new techniques and best practices for analyzing and sharing large data sets.
